A Week of Holiday Dresses, Part 1

This week on Cara’s Closet I will be featuring the best, most unique, most versatile, and most festive Christmas and New Year’s Dresses. I love this time of year, and I was so excited to share with you guys the collection of Christmas looks that I have acquired over the years.Nothing is more fun then themed-outfits, and holiday looks are some of the most beautiful themed outfits you can have.

I wanted to start the week with my ultimate pick for this season (because I just love it so much I couldn’t wait to share): This 1950’s inspired fit and flare dress by Bernie Dexter has a sleepy snowy village printed on the bottom. The village looks like it has been practically painted on, and extends upward, to the neckline where a subtle sky dances behind my Stella and Dot statement necklace. I bought this in August, and have literally been counting down the days until I could wear it. I debuted it at Nick’s company’s Christmas party, but I know I will be wearing it to several other holiday parties before the season’s close. It makes me feel so feminine and unique. I chose to pair it with all sparkling holiday accessories and delicate grey heels. Shout out to my friend Lauren who let me take these shots in her beautifully decorated apartment in the middle of a snowstorm. The dress matched the outside a bit, but I wasn’t brave enough to go stand coat-less in the cold.

What are your favorite holiday looks? Do you like all out sequins? Are you a classic red dress and lipstick kind of gal? Let me know in the comments below, and stay tuned this week for more killer holiday looks!
