I think I mixed every big trend right now into one outfit and this is what came out. It is most assuredly one of the looks I will be wearing every chance I get this season, because I am obsessed with the easy, fashion-forward vibe it has. I’ll be honest, the shirt creates a bit of a line in the tight skirt, so I constantly have to smooth it out, which is a bit obnoxious, but the look is so fun that I don’t care.
The pointed booties are a recent purchase from Vince Camuto. The day I bought them, I walked 55 blocks in them which tells you something about how comfortable they are. (When the weather is nice I will literally walk five miles before getting into the subway. When the weather is bad, I will not walk more than five blocks to meet people for dinner.) I can’t say that my feet didn’t hurt at all afterward, but if you are looking for an on-trend, versatile, killer pair of fall booties that will take you from day-to-night with minimal discomfort, these are perfect!
This checked print has been all the rage the past season or so, and when I saw it on this femininely shaped peplum skirt I had to have it! The cut is asymmetrical, and a bit longer in the back so you get all the sex appeal of a mini-skirt without having to worry about exposing too much skin.
I added everyone’s favorite chambray button down and a giant, but classy statement necklace, and subsequently decided that this was probably one of my favorite outfits of all time. A good chambray is really something that every woman needs in her wardrobe. You could probably style it differently every day of the year and always look perfectly put together!
Every piece in this outfit can be worn so many ways for fall, and I highly recommend investing in good booties, chambray, and some fun trendy pieces to amp up the look as a whole! What trends are you dying to wear this fall?
