Channeling Chanel

As you may have seen on Instagram, I bought my first Chanel shoes from Designer Resale last week. They weren’t cheap, but for these statement-making beauties, I honestly just could not resist. I have started working there on the weekends, but I always end up leaving with something. I have so many things that I wanted to pair them with, but for the first true day of spring I wanted a bare-leg. (My legs haven’t seen the light of day in like six months…so pale!!) I chose a simple shift-dress, because I wanted the shoes to make the statement. I really admire bloggers with a minimalist style aesthetic, but I always gravitate more toward loud patterns or bold textures. Here, I took a page from the minimalist playbook and wanted to show how a simple dress can be made into a unique ensemble with the help of some killer accessories. I’m loving my little Brahmin wristlet! It was nice to add some pattern, and it’s the perfect size for a wallet, phone and lip-gloss. And for a final touch, I chose a fun statement necklace that matched my shoes.

I am headed across the pond to London this coming Saturday and would appreciate any travel tips! I have been before, but if you have a restaurant recommendation, favorite boutique, or any other tips, let me know!
