Classically Modern

With the gridded tulip skirt and modern Nasty Gal cape, this other wise classic black and white ensemble gets an easy modern upgrade. I love pairing form-fitting pieces with men’s wear. I you are going to wear a men’s wear inspired piece, this is the best way to give it some feminine edge.

It is literally twenty degrees below my threshold for feeling like interacting with people, but I somehow made it out of the house in this outfit for a happy hour drink tonight. It’s been such a crazy week! I moved into my new pad, (it’s adorbs, thanks for asking!) started some new projects, and planned several upcoming trips. I feel like even thought it is February, now is when my year has finally started. I have been anticipating moving for so long, and waiting to start so many projects until after my move was complete, that now I can really get into the swing of all the resolutions and such that I have made for myself. (Trying to shop less, reflect more, be more present etc.)

Fashion Week is in just a few short days, and I seriously can’t believe how quickly it has come again. I’m excited to give you all the side scoop vis Instagram, and can’t wait to rock some of my newest finds on the blog! Stay tuned!
