Fall Maxi Dresses

After a quick trip to Florida (which was fabulous, and far too short, thanks for asking), I’m back and I’m blonde, and I’m ready for the cold weather. I’ve been wanting to try being blonde for once in my life since I was in elementary school and reading Sweet Valley High books about those twin sisters Jessica and Elizabeth who were “blonde haired, blue eyed, and a perfect size 6.” What an absolutely horrible image to put into a girl’s head about how she should look.

Anyway, I forgot about Jessica and Elizabeth, and have always been pretty strongly tied to my brunette identity. However, I’ve never really experimented with dying my hair, and I’m sort of a “go big or go home” kind of person. I figured I’d give the whole blonde thing a go, and I actually really dig it. I was so scared at the salon, because I am such a pale individual, and I worried that I would look totally washed out. But I needed a change, and this will do. There’s no way this is a permanent change, but I think I’ll let it stick around for a while. I need a blonde alter-ego name. Suggestions?

Anyway, back more important matters, like maxi dresses. Maxi dresses are the epitome of fall-chic. They are warm, classy, and fun to style. This one in particular makes me feel like a peasant or a pirate, which is a plus. They are a great way to transition from day to night and from casual to cocktails. I think every woman should invest in a few. My favorite picks will be on the blog later this week! (So come back and shop them!)
