This past Saturday I went to a (less-than-impressive) tea with my girlfriend Christina of Lusting for Leather. I felt pretty bad because I insisted we go to my favorite neighborhood spot of all time, and the service was so terrible that I was embarrassed. Christina was a pretty good sport about the whole thing, fortunately. Then we hit up my absolute favorite neighborhood thrift store! (Which I will reveal to you in the coming weeks–setting up an exclusive with the owner! Want to learn where she finds and how she prices everything from vintage Chanel to last season’s Alexander McQueen? Stay tuned!) We barely spent 5 minutes in the shop before finding at least 10 things each that we wanted to try on. Christina has been my sample sale partner in crime these past few weeks. And we spent this past Saturday exploring my local neighborhood and swapping stories about our favorite finds. It’s always great to have a friend as passionate about fashion as I am! It was freezing when we took these shots so we were quick about it, but the lighting and the fall colors of my local park photographed so beautifully!
I choose a look that I thought would transfer really well to your Thanksgvinikkah (Thanksgiving+Hanukkah) dinner later in the week. Pairing blue with some festive sequins, while still looking pulled together for seeing all the family. This week I will be featuring my famous bourbon pumpkin cheesecake recipe, as well as my lentil soup! I can’t wait to share them with you guys! I hope you all are looking forward to this short week as much as I am!
