Print Mixing in Monochrome

IMG_3050

Print mixing is not an intuitive thing for most women (including me). Unless you’re lucky enough to have a natural eye for it, it can often take too much effort for most to want to deal with when picking an everyday outfit. A good tip for making this trend work without trying every combo in your closet is to pick two pieces that may coordinate in color and clash in pattern. The mixing of steely grays in this look for example, play off of each other in a trendy way. I added the pink jacket to break it up, but you can pull something similar off with mixes of any monochromatic palettes.

This week has been busy (what else is new) but next week is one of my favorites all year in New York. NY Champagne Week runs through next Friday; and I may be just a bit too in love with bubbly, but if you’re in town you should seriously pop in for at least one event. I had the best time last year and I’d love to see you too!

Fall is a great time for really unique events and press previews in NYC and I will be sharing details for you guys too in the coming weeks!
