New York Fashion Week has officially arrived! I am so excited! I just picked up one of my dresses from the tailor’s and I can’t wait to wear it! I bought it months and months ago with every intention of getting it altered, (it was two sizes too big, but too pretty not to buy) and Fashion Week finally gave me the motivation to bring it in. (By the way, the place I go to has a magic touch! The dress fits like a glove! If you’re in need of a good tailor Dashnor’s on the Upper East is as good as they come!) I decided to do a throwback post to the dress I wore for the first fashion show I ever attended. I took these photos with Anabella last weekend, and loved remembering how much fun I had wearing this dress the first time!
I remember it like it was yesterday. It was Rebecca Taylor S/S 2014. I was covering it for Joonbug. The line stretched around the block full of bloggers that I recognized, and I tried to hide my excitement and “play it cool.” (Inside I was mega fan-girling “OMG it’s CAROLINA!!!!”) I think I had been blogging for…I don’t know…three days at that point, and the whole thing seemed like some unbelievable dream. All I could think was “How the hell did anyone think that I belonged here?” I’m not as nervous this time around, but the excitement always remains the same. There is just something magical about looking at such visually awe-inspiring clothing, styling and design. The vibe is always amazing! Follow along on Instagram and check the blog to see what I will be wearing! 🙂
As for #tbt, here’s the photo collage I posted on Instagram the day of the show! :O
